1. This assessment has been prepared in the form of a project and it covers all the skills for Year 1. 

a) The YEAR 1 CLASSROOM-BASED ASSESSMENT & THE READING FLUENCY TASK should be given to students 2 weeks before the presentation day. For reading fluency task, pupils read all the passages. 

b) Students make a sock puppet and prepare for their presentation within 2 weeks.

c) During the SPEAKING activity, each group will be given a LISTENING TASK SHEET. Students listen and write BASED ON 6 OTHER STUDENTS ONLY. (Teachers can choose based on groups. Ex: Group A listens to GROUP B.)


d) Upon the completion of the SPEAKING & LISTENING activities the reading assessment shall begin. Teacher will choose one passage for the pupils.

e) Writing assessment will take place the last. Pupils are given the writing task sheet to fill in the blanks and rewrite the passage.

2. Rubrics have been prepared for each skill so that PARENTS & TEACHERS are clear about the way children are assessed in the classroom. Rubrics have been made based on the YEAR 1 CEFR DSKP.
